Dharamshala is a quaint little hill station situated in the Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh. Known for its dense forests and immense natural beauty. Dharamshala is home to some of the most beautiful mountain ranges. But, there's more to Dharmshala than just hills and green cover. Here you will get to see plenty of examples of Tibetan architecture and experience the rich Tibetan culture. Since the day Dalai Lama made Dharamshala his abode, the town is constantly visited by his followers from all around the world. Some of the followers of the Dalai Lama even chose to make Dharamshala their home. Now that Tibetan people are forming a majority of the population in the town, the art and craft from Tibet are found here in abundance.

Day 1 Arrival Dharamshala (Flight) / Palampur (Drive) (Lodge at Wah)

Assistance upon arrival at Dharamshala airport followed by drive to The Lodge at Wah , Palampur.

The Lodge at Wah, which has 6 guest bedrooms and is based on the largest working tea estate in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh is 100% eco-friendly property and the materials used in its construction are wood, stone, slate and mud. The property has been created on a one and half acre land which was filled with tea bushes. The Lodge at Wah has been designed to be flexible to our guests needs and to try to make things more interesting for them.

Your meals consist mostly of produce grown organically on the estate. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Unwind yourself.

Take a walk on the Nature Trail marked around Wah Tea Estate. Learn about some trees and see some of the organic produce.

Unwind and enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight at The Lodge at Wah.

Day 2Palampur – Yoga + Toy Train Experience + Cultural Visit + Cooking Demonstration

Enjoy morning Yoga at the Five Elements Yoga room in the middle of the tea garden in open fresh air.

Later have breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, walk 10 – 15 minutes down the village to Patti station behind The Lodge with our guide. Take the 12:30 pm train to Paprola station which is approx. 30 -45-minute ride. The train is one of five single gauge trains in India, and the ride is like going back in time, complete with cardboard ticket and a quaint little station.

Disembark at Paprola and drive to Baijnath temple, a beautiful centuries old Shiv temple with a rich folklore and intricate carvings.

Later visit Sherabling Monastery at Bir set in a forested area and beautifully kept.

After visit, return to the hotel and Unwind. In the evening, spend time by learning how to cook some local dishes out in the open. Enjoy dinner at The Lodge at Wah. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3Palampur – Hiking + Monastery Visit + Interaction with Buddhist Monk

After breakfast, drive Naddi Village, it is a beautiful spot in the serene setting of Himachal and is the abode of beauty. At an altitude of 7152 ft. from the sea level this amazing village is a well-known place for its trekking experiences and is visited by thousands of travellers every year. Naddi is a gaddi tribal village from where you have beautiful view of the peaks of Dhauladhar.

You start your day with a walk from Naddi village. Passing through the village we enter a dense forest of cedar trees. It is an easy walk through the forest from Naddi for 2 kms and then the trail gradually ascends to Galu Devi Temple.

Enroute we come across a Buddhist stupa and some meditation huts in the middle of the forest where old Tibetan monks live and practice mediation. Visit the Stupa and continue walk.

From Galu Devi we take we descend passing through Dharamkot and Bhagsu Nag villages to reach Bhagsu waterfall. After a short walk from the waterfall we reach the nearest road-head at Bhagsu village. You shall be served with packed Lunch.

Later wander around the quaint Walking Street leading up to the Dalai Lama Monastery and visit the main monastery. Have an interaction on Buddhism in the company of a Tibetan Monk.

After visit, return to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4Palampur – Tea Tour + Jeep Safari + Andretta Pottery

Take a tea tour in the morning (around 09:00 A.M) of the estate and factory, and end with a tea tasting session. Later tea can be taken in the middle of the tea gardens (weather permitting).

Take a jeep safari up to the top of a mountain for a lunch. Enjoy the fantastic views, the complete seclusion, and the local sites along the way - tea gardens, waterfalls, a scenic and historic Old Vindhyavasini Temple., birds and stunning views of the Dhauladhar mountain range at 6500 feet! This trip is everything you come to the mountains for.

Later visit Andretta Village (Approx. 2-4 hours), which hosts a number of artists since decades. Andretta Pottery, which is India's first studio pottery was set up by a renowned Sikh family in the 1900s and lets guests try their hand at the wheel or purchase handmade ceramic wares. (Approx 20 minutes' drive from the lodge). Situated between the old Shuahk hills and the towering range of the Dhauladhar Himalaya, the small village of Andretta in the Kangra Valley not only offers a fascinating cultural heritage with magnificent surroundings but allows you an opportunity to experience world renown pottery.

Later visit Norah Richard's home is the traditional mud home built by the playwright and guests can walk around to view the small rooms and mud architecture. Shoba Singh Art Gallery was the home of the renowned Sikh artist who is known for painting the Sikh Gurus.

After visit, return to the hotel. Enjoy the sounds of the birds chirping and read or relax at The Lodge. Dinner and Overnight at the Lodge.

Day 5Palampur (Lodge at Wah) – Hiking + Traditional Dinner

After early breakfast, leave for the HOSTAN hike (approximately 2.5 - 3km), it is the perfect way to start your day with views of the Dhauladhar mountains and the Kangra Valley. Enjoy tea with a local farmer, and magnificent views of Palampur from traditional Gaddi mountain huts.

Timing: 7:00am - 11:00am
The duration of the activity is approximate; exact duration will be subject to weather conditions.

Relax during midday. You will be served with packed Lunch.

Leave for Kangra fort at approx. 2:30 pm. Kangra Fort is India's oldest fort with beautiful ruins and a rich history having survived many attacks.

Later return to hotel and relax.

In the evening, enjoy traditional village Fireside Dinner.

The most authentic traditional village experience in all of Himachal. You'll experience a magical village nestled in the hills, a traditional village home lit up with lanterns, a beautiful sunset, folk music, an open bonfire and an authentic Himachali dining experience. (Alcohol upon request for an additional cost)

After dinner, return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 6Palampur / Dharamshala (1 hrs drive ) & Departure

Wake to the crisp morning lights and fresh breath of air followed by guided yoga at the Five Elements yoga room in the middle of the tea garden.

After breakfast, you will be provided time assisted departure transfer to the Dharamshala airport to connect the flight for onward journey.
