OUR FOUNDER & CHIEF ADVENTURER
From a modest career starting as a Trekking Camp Assistant at a young age of 18, trapezing through India as a whole, to being the owner of India Insight Tours (unit of Luxury India Holidays), he has come a long way in a span of 34 years.
The journey itself has been quite fascinating. His first steps towards entrepreneurship were in 1996 when he set up his first company – India Insight Tours as One of India’s Premier Adventure Travel Companies. Since then, there has been no looking back for him. Vishwas travelled the globe over the next decade setting up collaborations & partnerships with like-minded Travel companies. His open-minded honest approach to business won him great appreciations and admirations and people from around the world embraced him.
Vishwas, always followed the principal of doing B2B model in his business despite various challenges he faced and the boom of Dotcoms and other online business globally… He kept his loyalty towards his business partners, and they did the same...
Soon after in 2004, he set up his second company Luxury India Holidays, for the discreet high end special traveller as he saw an opportunity and a Gap in the market then. Over the last 19 years Luxury India Holidays has become a global Brand for the Indian Subcontinent in executing perfectly Tailored Customized Holidays for some of the worlds special privileged people. Vishwas vision was clear, and he saw it back then how the special traveller’s interest and demand would grow many folds over the coming years...
Also, with an active experience in the Himalayas from 1987 till 1996, he developed a separate portal for adventure tourism by the name of India Adventure under the umbrella of India Insight Tours.
Vishwas has held the post of Vice - President of American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) – India Chapter in the past.
Vishwas has also had the privilege of serving the Indian Tourism fraternity in various roles. He is the current Immediate Past President of Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (National Tourism Body).
He is also a Board member of National Tourism Advisory Council set up by Ministry of Tourism Government of India.
He is also currently the India Ambassador for Adventure Travel Trade Association, One of World’s Leading Adventure Travel Association with a Worldwide membership of over 1700 people.
Vishwas constantly involves himself with sustainability aspects of tourism, upliftment of local communities, creating livelihoods for local women and is a torch bearer for movement against Single use plastic in the travel business.
Other than travel, Soccer is another passion Vishwas has. So much so that he is the President of The Football Club Barcelona, India Chapter. He loves to cook as well. He can whip up some amazing Lamb curry or shrimp curry. His friends all over can vouch for his exceptional cooking skills. Vishwas is a people's person. Quite popular among business partners, friends and his working team. Vishwas believes in living life to the fullest. Synonym to his name (Vishwas which means Trust), he firmly believes in putting faith in people and life. And his faith is reflected in this decision to open upto 03 overseas Sales & marketing offices for Luxury India Holidays through his friends – in USA, Europe & Russia for B2B working.
Post pandemic in the spring of 2022 he decided to shift his home to the beautiful Kullu Valley of the Himalayas along with his Father. He lives there now and enjoys his time partly working, walking, hiking and just being in mother nature & doing his driving trips across the Himalayan valleys. He is fully involved in business & keeps a close eye on all aspects.
His Loyal team which he is so proud of followed him to the Himalayas and they have just finished setting up a full-fledged office of Luxury India Holidays in the Kullu valley affective 01st June 2023 & he merged India Insight Tours with Luxury India Holidays Pvt Ltd affective 01.st April 2023. India Insight Tours Continues to function as an independent Adventure Travel Brand for the Global partners.
Vishwas, continues to share his stories, his experiences with everyone around and continues his quest in uplifting everyone around him and marching forward with them.
